zThe Examen

Details

The key to inner peace is living with a contemplative focus and embracing life with compassion for others and ourselves.  Two Ignatian prayer methods that afford us a more contemplative focus are: Contemplative prayer, which allows us to find a way to rest in God within a divine encounter; and the Examen which asks us to consider the events and experiences of a specific period of time and reflect on them in the company of the Holy Spirit.

This 90 minute online retreat, facilitated by Joan McGovern, is one of three retreats in our “All Things Ignatian” series this fall. You can register for this or any of the retreats individually; you do not need to attend all three. If you’d like to sign up for all three, you may do so — and receive a $10 discount — by visiting this link: ALL THINGS IGNATIAN.

This retreat offers you the opportunity to recognize God’s movements in your daily life as captured in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Over several sessions we will delve into the spiritual tools which allow us to see God in all things.  This retreat centers on the EXAMEN a guided review of God’s presence among your daily experiences.

*Retreat materials and the Zoom login information will not be provided until 5 business days prior to an event.*
